WHY
Volunteer

From the satisfaction of learning lifesaving skills to the excitement of first response, there are many reasons to become an Upper Moreland Township Fire Department volunteer.

If you’ve been looking for a sense of purpose, a way to make an important difference in our community, or a rewarding way to build life-long friendships, we’ve got a spot for you.

As a volunteer Upper Moreland Township firefighter, you can expect:

  • Hands-on training at no cost to you. If you have the will, we’ll show you the way!
  • A new sense of purpose and accomplishment
  • Acquiring a multitude of new skills to match an endless variety of calls
  • Protective gear
  • Becoming part of a supportive team
  • Making friends that feel like family
  • Full department funding from Upper Moreland Township. Firefighters DO NOT need to raise funds!

Volunteering is a wonderful way to give back to your community, but it’s also a life-changing experience to give yourself.

Volunteering here is great opportunity to serve the community while being provided all the training, equipment, knowledge and skills to perform lifesaving measures. There is no greater reward than helping others on their worst day.
